Christmas Assembly

Our annual Christmas Assembly was held on Tuesday, December 20th. Student of the year nominations for November and December were celebrated (see pictures bottom left). Prizes were also awarded for a colouring competition for Junior Infants and for handwriting for all other classes (see pictures bottom right). The class winners of the Christmas Decorations from Recycled materials competition were also awarded. Click here to see a list of all these prize winners at our assembly.

The Golden Boot Award for Term 1

This is awarded to the class who walks / cycles to school the most during the first term. This time it was won by 5th class and they win a free trip to the Parish Centre.

Jack and Jill Mobile Phones and Computer Games Recycling Initiative

Ten balls were raffled among all the boys who have brought in old mobile phones or computer games since September. The winners were as follows; Callum Higgins, Nathan Halpenny, Conor Gilbert, Zach Cunningham, James Reilly (twice), Nathan Leavy, Liam Travers, Andrew Rogers and Virgaudas Kryzevicius. Fifth class collected the most old phones and computer games and win a trip to the Parish Centre. We have collected enough phones and games to get two replacement projector lamps for our interactive whiteboards worth approximately €800.

Raffle in Aid of Concern and Saint Vincent De Paul Society

Master Keane organised this annual fundraiser for charities. The parents of Ms Henry’s Junior Infants contributed enough donations to make up over four hampers and other gifts also. The winners were Shane Kelly, Seán Callan, James Darcy, David Starkey, Luke Shearman, Jamie McMahon, Cian Smyth, John O’Sullivan, Ciarán Byrne, Arón Sharkey, Oisín Duff and Daniel O’Connor. The boys raised €440 to be divided between both charities. All of the prize winners' photographs are below right.
