The Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) 2018

This is our 4th year taking part in the JEP and this year 5th class are taking up the challenge. The JEP is an entrepreneurial education programme for primary school pupils. JEP is a not-for-profit initiative and has very strong links with the Primary School Curriculum.

During the programme pupils use their creativity to come up with business ideas, they choose one idea and then work to turn it into reality over a 10-12 week period. They've got to do the hard work - researching what customers really want, working out their costs and how much to charge for it. They figure out what they're good at and try to use those skills to play their part in a team. Along the way, they've got the support of their classmates, teachers and family. Through the programme, pupils get a clear picture of what creating a business involves.

This year we were delighted to welcome our visiting Dragon Mr Thomas McEvoy, Head of Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office Louth. See pictures directly below.
