The “Sixth Class Challenge” is a programme designed by Monastery National School to engage and motivate pupils in their final year of Primary School. We feel it has been of great benefit in developing self esteem and in promoting team spirit and positive behaviour among the pupils. Other benefits include a sense of achievement and a sense of pride in ones abilities. In all, the pupils are presented with six challenges.

Monastery school would like to think that students would have fond memories of the “Sixth Class Challenge” in years to come.

The sixth class challenge in 2010-2011 is well under way and sixth class have completed their three challenges. Their second challenge required them to fundraise for REHAB. To date they have raised €900 through the sale of shamrocks and from non-uniform day that took place on Wednesday, April 13th.

One of our rewards was a team building exercise at the Crystal Maze (see photos of the assault course below).
