The “Sixth Class Challenge” is a programme designed by Monastery National School to engage and motivate pupils in their final year of Primary School. We feel it has been of great benefit in developing self esteem and in promoting team spirit and positive behaviour among the pupils. Other benefits include a sense of achievement and a sense of pride in ones abilities. In all, the pupils are presented with six challenges.

Monastery school would like to think that students would have fond memories of the “Sixth Class Challenge” in years to come.

As part of the sixth class challenge in 2009-2010 6th class took part in a mountain climb. The photo on the right shows the boys about to commence the "Climb a Mountain Challenge".
