Monastery NS are collecting used mobile phones for the Jack and Jill Foundation. This foundation provides €3 million annually to support 322 families with home nursing care for their children with brain damage. The 2010 campaign was a tremendous success and our boys collected enough mobile phones to get a new interactive whiteboard valued at €4500 for one of our classes and at the same time provide two months home nursing care for one family with a brain damaged child.

This year The Jack and Jill Foundation are collecting mobile phones again and offering our school a range of ICT equipment including projector bulbs, laptops, visualisers (a device that allows objects / books to be projected onto the interactive whiteboard) etc. We have set up our collection boxes again and request that you donate your old and unused mobile phones to support Monastery NS and the Jack and Jill Foundation. The collection will continue throughout the school year and please ensure you remove your SIM card from your old phone.

So please continue to support our mobile phone collection campaign. All phones donated entitle each boy to a monthly raffle ticket and a new pencil.

On the right see one of the two Classroom Visualisers we received in May 2011 in exchange for mobile phones.
