The second challenge is over which means it is time for the second reward.
Almost all of the boys completed the challenge, which means those boys get to enjoy the well earned reward. The second challenge was a tough one, requiring each pupil to read five books and submit a review on each one, to google classroom. One book review from each pupil can be found on this 6th class page, on a previous post.
The reward for completing the second challenge was a Gaming Day. The boys spent the day playing in a Mario Kart tournament, in teams against each other. We connected a Nintendo Switch to the interactive panel in our classroom, which allowed the boys to play against each other as well as allowing their classmates to cheer them on. The boys were also allowed to wear their own clothes and bring in a few extra treats to enjoy throughout the day.
The Mario Kart tournament was a huge success and there was no shortage of close calls and tense moments, as the boys battled it out in an attempt to qualify for the semi finals and final. The final did not let us down as 'Smash Bros' battled it out against 'Fortnite Battlepass' to see who would be crowned '6th Class Mario Kart Champions 2022'. It was an epic showdown, with 'Fortnite Battlepass' eventually claiming their throne and finishing in 1st place. Well done boys!
The Gaming Day concluded with a few rounds of 'Super Smash Bros'. All of the boys really enjoyed themselves and believe that the book reviews were well worth doing. The third challenge of the Sixth Class Challenge will commence on Monday, a S.T.E.M. challenge! Keep an eye on our 6th class page for future updates.
