Science Week 2024
17th Nov 2024
We had great fun celebrating Science Week 2024. On Monday, we put flowers and food colouring into different cups and observed the food colouring travel up to the petals of the flowers throughout the week. On Tuesday, we observed the effects of diffusion as the colours from the skittles created a lovely pattern in the water. On Wednesday, we made a lava lamp using oil, water and food colouring. On Thursday, we joined Ms. Connolly's 1st Class on the yard to watch what happens when you add Mentos to Coca Cola. Finally, on Friday, we explored the importance of washing our hands as we put soap on our hands and put them into a basin of glitter and water. The soap on our hands made the glitter rush away just like it would with the germs.
