World Maths Day and World Spelling Day
In early March the boys of Monastery N.S. took part in both World Maths Day and World Spelling Day. These events were undertaken by 5.3 million students from 218 countries, setting a new Guinness World Record. The children participated by playing online against other students around the world in live games of mental arithmetic and spelling. Each game lasted for 60 seconds and students could play up to 100 games, earning points for their personal tally. For more information visit www.worldspellingday.com/ and www.worldmathsday.com/
These days were coordinated by resource teacher Mr Declan Keane. See slideshow of our boys particiapting on the right.
